Joseph, Mary and Jesus loved and trusted God as a holy family, a family set apart to do God’s will. This is what God wants for every Filipino family, yet they need someone to show them how to receive Christ, and to have a loving relationship with God and others.
Our team works with over 300 of the poorest of these families. Starting with parents, we have been teaching weekly Bible studies on how to have a godly family. Now, these parents are sending their elementary aged children to Vacation Bible School. They also receive free tutoring at the church.
After Christmas, our churches will host a three day camp for the teen children of these families, without cost to them. Here, they will meet teens who love God passionately, and who will show them how to trust in Christ as their Savior. We are praying at least 100 of these teens will come to camp.
Our Family
We are very proud that Ruth was chosen by her high school student body as their homecoming queen. Paul is a head chorister this year for the Birmingham Boys Choir. Daniel is in his third year at Cedarville University. Rebekah and Gunner are expecting their first child in April. Rachel is working in South Carolina as Chris works to pay off school loans. Melody is praying about her next step, and hopes to do some traveling and a missions trip.
God’s Family
We thank God for you, as you help us to see His family established in the Philippines. Maligayang Pasko (Merry Christmas), from the Weaver family, and from the 8 churches in Tarlac, 3 churches in Pangasinan, 3 churches in Isabella, 3 churches in Mindoro, and other sister Filipino churches. May God bless you for helping us multiply churches in the Philippines for the glory of Christ.
Servants together,
David, Joy & Weaver Family
