Philippine Training Trip Update

Dear Praying Folks,

Thank you for praying for this training trip. My trip was smooth, I am healthy, and the ministry is progressing smoothly, in spite of a bad case of jet lag (unusual for me).

I have finished teaching two classes in one location (we had a great group here!), preaching in a second location, and am now in my third location (two hours bus ride north), preparing to teach in a fourth location Tuesday through Thursday, up in the mountains. Then I will return here for youth leader training and preaching again for the weekend

God answered your prayers for youth camp, which we will explain more in our regular prayer letter. From all we heard, it was the best camp they have ever had!

The pastors who will be at this next training class have requested a different topic than what I prepared for the first CPI classes, so I am reviewing the topic they are needing (which I have taught many times before). These changes and additions keep me depending on the Lord!

We have a special need for prayer for the three churches in Isabella Province. In the last year they have had what we can only describe as a full spiritual attack on their leadership, which includes: two pastors with strokes, another one with a bad fall, three vehicle accidents and a youth leader who was hit by a bus. Please pray that God will turn the weapons of the Enemy into God’s means of multiplying his church in Isabella Province.

Thank you for your prayers!
In the Philippines,
David
