Wise Men Still Seek Him

The wise men started their journey to see Jesus when his star appeared, at the time of his birth in Bethlehem. When they arrived in Israel, the star led them to the house where Jesus had been moved, after his birth.

The church in Malasiqui (Mah-LA-see-KEE) reminds us of Bethlehem. During church services, dogs and chickens wander through church, cattle low and goats bleat while the faithful sing. This church was born just outside a town that is becoming a growth corridor for the area. This church reminds us of Faith Bible Christian Church in Mangaldan, that started outside town, and eventually became a strategic church in the center of town.

We think it is wise to seek God’s will about moving this country church to the center of town, where anyone in the area seeking Jesus can find Him. This is the next focus of ministry for our church planting work in the Philippines. We have seen God provide providentially a ministry vehicle and property we needed to establish one strategic church. Now we are asking God to do it all over again. As we serve these churches, as well as the churches that have sent us, we pray that God will prompt others to join us by supporting this work in the Philippines.

We are now preparing training materials for our next training trip in January. We praise God that the airfare for this trip is already promised! Thank you for journeying with us as we seek to bring Christ to the Filipino people. We consider all your encouragement and help toward us as gifts given to Christ.

We love you all, and wish you a meaningful Christmas, and a Blessed New Year!
David and Joy, and Weaver Family
