Dear friends,
Thank you for praying for us as we made the long journey to New York to visit supporters! We love this time of connection and fellowship with those who pray and help sustain our ministry.
God did some miracles on our trip north, specifically protecting us when our tire blew just as we entered Pennsylvania! We were able to safely get to a rest stop, only to discover that our tire was shredded. We put on the “donut” spare, realized it needed air, drove 4 exits until we found a gas station with a working air pump, then drove another 200 miles on the “donut” spare to our hotel. God not only got us safely there, but He also planted a Sam’s Club near our hotel where we were able to get the car fixed up with good wheels. We continued on our way to NY and have been enjoying our time since then with David’s mom and family.
God’s gracious and loving care on this trip makes us think of the Israelites traveling to the Promised Land:
“By day the Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night. Neither the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night left its place in front of the people.” (Exodus 13:21-22)
Please pray for safe and uneventful travels throughout this week. Please especially be in prayer for new and faithful financial partners this summer as we share about what God is doing in the Philippines.
