This month, God gave us a three day retreat with a Filipino-American church. We taught them the art of reflection, thanksgiving and praise, looking back at God’s goodness, at God’s faithfulness now, and with hope in God’s promises.

Reflecting back on God’s faithfulness, we see His steady provision for our own support, as well as His timely help for ministry vans, church buildings, typhoon relief and child evangelism feeding programs. Today, we thank God for signs of His blessing on our work. A “by faith” plane ticket purchase for May and an unexpected computer crash were both met immediately with God’s full provision. We still marvel that our workers can enter national high schools during school time for Bible studies.

In the Church Planting Institute, we are even able to help church planters from church plants we have never even visited. All of this leads us to humbly worship and praise God as we look to the future. If God provided land and building for the Mangaldan church, will He not also provide the land and building that the Malasiqui church needs? If God was faithful to grow mature pastors for Estipona, Gerona, Tagumbao and San Jose, will He not also raise up from among these same believers pastors for Danzo, Ramos and Singat? If God so wondrously raised up the first generation of church planters, and then another and yet another, will He not do it again with this batch of youth workers? Praise God, He will! Since God has so faithfully provided for our needs over the last 32 years, we can continue to trust Him to provide for us until Christ returns!

- Pray that we will model trust in God’s good promises for our own financial support need, so these Filipino workers will have sure hope in God’s blessing on their work with Christ.
