“Every good and perfect gift comes down from the Father.” – James 1:17
God’s gifts are good because they meet a real need. They are perfect because they fulfill the desires of our hearts.
Spiritual Gifts
The March Church Planting Institute training focused on spiritual gifts. We explained how spiritual gifts given to one church can supply what another church lacks to make both churches stronger.

A need at a San Fabian church beautifully illustrated this. They have struggled with a lack of leadership for eight years since their pastor died. Through CPI, other churches are now providing temporary leadership for this until leadership can be trained from within to lead the church. This fulfills their desire to keep growing. It also fulfills our desire at CPI to help churches multiply. At this CPI training, a friend from Kingdom Footprint, Mateo Melendez, taught church planters how to work together in livelihood projects to become self-supporting.

Financial Gifts
Three gifts in one week paid for four new tires on our van when a tire blew out on the highway. God kept our precious cargo (Rebekah and two children) safe, and we were only 30 minutes late to a baby shower for Ruth and Nathanael’s first baby, due July 11.

In our last letter, we asked you to pray for God to provide a roof for the chapel along the railroad tracks. You prayed, and God provided. The roof is on, and children are worshipping out of the rain and sun.

As churches multiply, this may become a frequent prayer request! Another church in San Fabian is growing rapidly. We are praying God will provide them with a simple chapel as well. Estimated cost for this is $1800.

Thanks to a generous gift just this week, our March travel expenses are all reimbursed. Now we are scheduling plane tickets for another training trip in May-June! We believe that God will continue to meet these needs as we trust and obey.
The Gift of Unity
It humbles us to see God developing unity between churches of like faith, allowing them to grow healthy and multiply. A perfect example of this cooperation is Evangelism Camp, which will be held the first week of June as a combined outreach effort of multiple churches.
We are also grateful that you are unified with us to invest in these faithful church planters through your prayers and support for CPI. Filipino church planters and pastors are encouraged to know that they are not serving alone. Serving these servants of God is a perfect gift to us. It not only meets a real need, it satisfies the desires of our hearts! Thank you all for your gifts and prayers!
