In the Fullness of Time

Jesus came “in the fullness of time.” In the same way, we are watching God’s plans for our family and our ministry come about at just the right time. We are blessed to announce that our second daughter, Rachel, and husband Chris had their first child, Luke John Sabol, born January 23, 2025 (6lb 13.6oz 19in).

Luke John Sabol, born January 23, 2025

Rachel and Chris waited patiently until God provided this child. You waited patiently with us for God to provide, in the fullness of time, the funds for the church building for the Malasiqui church, and for evangelism camp facilities. Now, within the last 8 months, God has provided funds for land, dining hall, church building, and part of the dormitory. We are still waiting on God for funds to complete the dormitory, perimeter wall, parking lot, basketball court, pool, as well as furnishings and equipment. Crews are working long hours in extreme heat (107+ degrees heat index) to rough in the buildings enough to use for camp in May!

Each post for the Malasiqui church is poured by hand.
Dormitory (left), dining hall (center), and church sanctuary (right). So much to do before camp in May!

When I (David) preached at the Malasiqui church anniversary service, time was given for members to give testimony to God’s faithfulness. A young man stood to speak. He said that at first, he came to the church because of his friends (and the pretty girls). When he was invited to attend camp, he decided to come because of the free food, the swimming (and the pretty girls). He said that when Pastor Weaver stood up and explained in his own language how God loved him, and that Jesus died to pay for all of his sin, he received Christ as his Savior. It was God’s “fullness of time” for this young man. Imagine how many more young people will come to faith in Christ once this camp facility is complete!

Thank you for believing that this is the right time for you to partner with us in this vital ministry, training Filipino church planters for church multiplication. Many of you pray, others give as God provides, yet all of us get to rejoice as God unfolds his perfect plan at just the right time.

Servants together,
David and Joy

Praise God for the safe delivery of Rachel and Chris’s first child, Luke John.
Praise God for all He has provided so far for building the Malasiqui church and evangelism camp.
Praise God that current meds have slowed the growth and spread of Joy’s mother’s cancer. Prayer:
Please pray for funds to finish building the evangelism camp, so it can be used for camp this May.
Please pray that new believers will mature in their faith through the discipleship of those we have trained.
Please pray God’s daily grace for Mom, Pauline Sutton’s cancer treatment and arthritis pain.
