Dedication of a Church

Pastor Ramilo “Lhong” Frias had tears in his eyes at the Malasiqui church building dedication on September 17. He said, “We have been praying for this church to be built for 23 years. We never imagined that God would give us a building like this!” Area churches gathered with them to celebrate God’s goodness, as the church nears completion.

On the same property as the church, construction is ongoing for Christ Connection Camp. These buildings are already being used for church planter training sessions.

Dedication of Church Planters
It took real dedication for church planters to get to the Church Planting Institute training in September.

Typhoons Lannie, Marisol, Nando and Opong flooded many streets and towns. Malasiqui church and camp property remained unflooded, and 28 church planters found a way to reach the training sessions. We wish you could have heard their joy as they all sang in unison in Tagalog, “I’ve Got a Mansion, Just Over the Hilltop.”
Our Dedication
We remain dedicated to training and serving these faithful Filipino church planters.

We are also dedicated to assisting Joy’s parents, as Joy’s Mom goes through her third type of cancer treatment, chemo infusions. What started as breast cancer is now in her liver and bones. We are grateful we can serve them, while fulfilling our call to serve the Filipino people.

We are grateful for God’s faithfulness to our parents, and also to our children. Rachel, Chris and Luke recently experienced a fire in their home. Chris arrived home in time to put out the fire, preventing extensive loss. Thankfully, insurance is covering nearly all of the damage to their home, after their deductible is met.
Dedication of Faithful Partners
We are blessed with very dedicated partners for our ministry. The Malasiqui church building has been built through gifts some of you dedicated to this purpose. One recent gift nearly paid for all of the expenses for my September training trip to the Philippines. Another gift provided for 600 Bibles to give to children in our church planting areas.
Day by day we feel the presence and help of the Lord in answer to your prayers. Because of that dedication, we think you are simply the best!

Servants together,
David & Joy
