As soon as the wise men of the East saw His star rise, they prepared and were on their way to see King Jesus.
We prepared and were glad for me (David) to be on my way back to the Philippines to train church planters and pastors in person again. The Tarlac province churches were prepared for my coming. I preached at the Estipona church, and then took part in the ground breaking service for a new church to be built in Danzo. This new church is a joint church planting effort of Estipona, Gerona, and Tagumbao churches.
As I headed north to Pangasinan province, there really was no room available in the inn. We needed all of the sleeping space at the Mangaldan church for arriving pastors and church planters. The hotel where I often stay was completely booked. Even so, God opened a room for my stay the very day I arrived, and no, it was not in a stable!
God is answering your prayers to expand the influence of the Church Planting Institute: For a number of church planters, this was their first time to join the training sessions. Twenty different churches were represented at CPI.
Since our training focused on “Kingdom Praying,” we spent one entire day praying for each other’s ministries. As each church planter gave witness to God’s faithful guidance for their work and provision for their needs, we all thanked God for your faithful prayers for each of them.
The Malasiqui church anniversary service was a time of great joy at the amazing growth of this humble church. It was also a reminder that they need a bigger church building, so half of their congregation does not need to sit under awnings in the rain. We trust God’s perfect timing to meet this need.
The Mangaldan church was also prepared for my coming. For pastor appreciation month, special music and gifts were presented to my co-workers and me. All of this preparation renewed our desire to prepare the way of the Lord, and to finish His work before He comes again!
How sad that the evil King Herod made more preparation for the coming of Christ than the religious leaders. He inquired, and then he acted to destroy any rival to his throne. Christ is coming again. We have the privilege of preparing the way for His second coming! Thank you for praying with us, and financially supporting us as we train Filipinos to proclaim His coming in the Philippines.
