Health Update

Dear Praying Folks,

Thank you to all of you who have been praying for us here in the Philippines. Pastor Diawa arrived home from hospital just as I finished teaching today. He will need to be careful of what he eats to keep the ulcer from bleeding again. He looks good, but is weak.

My voice came back enough to teach today, but was about gone after teaching. I also have pink eye, and a secondary respiratory infection, for which I am now taking antibiotics. I taught sitting down, which helped conserve my strength.

Heat index today was 112 degrees. Tomorrow, it is supposed to climb to 122 degrees. We are all pushing fluids and keeping close to fans! I have one more long session to teach tomorrow, then I preach Sunday.

Praise the Lord for three youth leadership camps being held this summer, all organized and led by CPI students. In this particular camp we are training youth leaders for the churches in Pangasinan province. Please pray that these youth leaders will catch on to the principles that will help them disciple another generation of young believers.

Thanks for praying! We feel your prayers.
David

P.S. It sounds like Joy and the kids also have respiratory coughs, colds and sore throats.
